Tom has enjoyed a long and successful career in business development, sales and management with both large and small companies. His experience takes him from construction to corporate banking and software sales in Canada and United States, as well as, manufacturing in Europe has given him valuable insights into the needs of small, mid-sized and Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Hawkett has also been involved in several startups that have been sold due to his sales, business development and marketing efforts.
Since 1992, Tom founded and grew the consulting firm (B2B Connection Advisoy Services) , Connect4Training.com, which has evolved into Connect4Growth.
He initially put his expertise & skills to work by helping very large companies (banks & telcos) effectively source, select and manage hundreds of service vendors. With his background in software, Tom's knowledge, vast experience and relationship management skills allow him to guide his clients to best fit people, technology, products and services.
Mr. Hawkett recently worked with a large number of Public Accounting firms, helping them become more efficient and help them become more "Paperless" and deal with Document Management (DMS) & security issues.
Tom is a graduate of McMaster University in Economics and Wilfrid Laurier University Post Graduate in Business Administration. He is an active community member involved with many professional associations. For over 18 years, he has been a leader with the Junior Chamber International, an organization that builds the career skills and confidence of young business leaders.
